Page and subpage examples present specific user group content

    • The page requires a vistior to select a usergroup by setting one or two parameters. The content of the parent and child pages are rendered depending on the selection, in addition to related navigation, links, and teasers.
    • Editors determine in the page properties which group settings are available for the page. This doesn't protect confidential content, since users can change their selection.
    • The visitor's selection is stored in a persistent cookie, and shown on the right end of the navigation line in the header. Group settings can be changed by a visitor by clicking this element.

    Try switching your parameters

    Switching the group parameters in the header of the page forces different subsets of the content below to be shown. Try the following group settings:

    groups.brazil.press.html :

    1. Press (all regions)
    2. Brazil (all usergroups)
    3. Press from Brazil only

    groups.germany.press.html :

    1. Press (all regions)
    2. Press or private from Germany

    groups.brazil.private.html :

    1. Brazil (all usergroups)

    groups.germany.private.html :

    1. Press or private from Germany
    • Parameters for user groups can be set for most components that will only show content that matches both the user group and component settings. See the images below for an example.
