Our embedded tools that are approved by IT (mostly Adobe) have AI features embedded to make designing faster and easier. When editing/retouching/resizing/etc. it is fine to use AI to optimize an image that Munich Re has purchased rights for.
However, going to an open source LLM such as ChatGPT to generate an image from scratch ís prohibited. This is because we cannot “own” the license of such images for use. While we are exploring options for generating images within Getty, we are not currently covered under their licensing agreement for AI generation. Thus, we do not allow the use of AI generated images for internal or external communications.
If implemented correctly, the Munich Re brand elements provide a consistent and powerful way to connect with internal and external target groups.
